Helpers: What are access levels

Access levels are the permissions you provide to a director, teacher, music administrator, or helper on the administrative side of Charms.

What each option means

  1. Head Director
    1. This is the person that oversees the Charms account.  This access is set by Client Services.
    2. The Head Director has access to all areas of Charms.
  2. Assistant - ONLY USED BY SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
    1. This person has the second most access level in Charms, right behind the Head Director.
    2. We recommend this person be "CCed" on all emails.
    3. Assistant access provides unlimited access to all areas in Charms
    4. The assistant's name, email address, and title (if one is added to the helper profile) is automatically available to parents and students on the login page of Charms
    5. If entering Texas UIL events, a person will need assistant access.
  3. All Access
    1. This person has the third most access level in Charms.
    2. The all-access user has access to all areas of Charms except for Texas UIL.
    3. If the all-access user would like their name, email address and title visible on the Charms login page, the box for this will need to be marked during helper setup.
  4. Single Access Levels
    1. This is designed to assign specific access areas to a director, teacher, music admin, or helpers
    2. A single access level will only have access to the area or areas assigned to them
  5. Read Only
    1. A helper can have full or limited access to Charms without the ability to update any screen
