Profile: Manage student files

Charms provide an area where teachers, and students or adults, can upload files and have them accessible to both parties. 

What do you want to do?

  • Upload a student file
  • View a student file
  • Delete a student file

Upload a student file

Students or adults can upload files from the public portal and teachers can upload from the Teacher/Helper portal.

TIP: Charms does not allow uploading files with these extensions: .vbs, .js, and .exe

Upload from the public portal - students and adults

  1. Log in to the public portal.
  2. On the Home menu, click Handouts & Files.
  3. For Upload File to Teacher, click Choose File.
  4. Locate the file and then click

The file is uploaded and teachers can access it on the Student Files tab of the student record.

Upload from the Teacher/Helper portal

  1. On the Main Sections menu, click Students, and then click View/Modify.
  2. Locate your student.
TIP: If you have many students, use the filter functionality to narrow down your search. See  How does filtering work?
  1. On the Student Information page, click the Student Files tab.
  2. Click

  3. Locate the file, and then click

The file is uploaded and students and parents can access it in the Handouts & Files area of the public portal.

 View a student file

  1. On the Main Sections menu, click Students, and then click View/Modify.
  2. Locate your student.

  1. On the Student Information page, click the Student Files tab.

Students and adults can view files in the Handouts & Files area of the public portal.

Delete a student file

Students can delete files they upload, but cannot delete files uploaded through the Teacher/Helper portal.

  1.  On the Main Sections menu, click Students, and then click View/Modify.
  2. Locate your student.

  1. On the Student Information page, click the Student Files tab.
  2. Locate the file, and then click

  3. Confirm your action by clicking
