Mark student event attendance

You can take attendance for events manually, or by using the barcode check-in method. This article walks you through both options and discusses the event attendance reports available.

Prerequisite: The calendar event must have the Track Attendance option selected. You select this on the Event Controls tab of the calendar event.

Manually enter student attendance

  1. On the Main Sections menu, click Calendar, and then click Attendance.
  2. Select the calendar event.
  3. For each student, select the appropriate attendance option. The default setting is P (present) for each student.
    • P = present
    • A = absent
    • T = tardy
    • Ex = excused. Use this option in addition to another option. For example, if the student has an excused absence, select A and Ex. Or, if the student is tardy but you were aware they were going to be late, select T and Ex.

Any selections on this page are automatically saved.

Enter attendance using barcode check-in

First you'll want to print the student barcodes. To do this, on the Mains Sections menu, go to Students > Reports > Student Barcodes. Now you can use these to check the students in to the event.

  1. On the Main Sections menu, click Calendar, and then click Barcode Check-in.
  2. Select the calendar event.
  3. Ensure your cursor is in the Scan ID field and scan the student's barcode, or type the barcode number/ID and click
