Trips: Set up a trip

The basic process for setting up a trip in Charms is to create a trip, enter the base cost, add trip options, and then assign students and chaperones to the trip.

  1. On the Main Sections menu, click Finances, click Trips, and then click Setup Trips.
  2. In the top right corner, click

  3. On the Trip Information page, type the name of your trip.
  4. For Base Cost, enter the cost of the trip (no currency signs).
  5. Click

Those are the initial steps in setting up a trip. If you know the trip will have some additional costs or discounts, you can add additional options at this point or any point before the trip.

After you set up the trip and add your additional options, you can globally assign students and chaperones to the trip.

NOTE: If your chaperones are not already set up in Charms, you will need to do this prior to assigning them to a trip. For information on setting up your chaperones in Charms, see Manage chaperones.
